The Niger State Coordinator of the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE), Hajiya Maimuna Ibrahim Tahir, has extended heartfelt condolences to Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and the people of Wushishi Local Government Council on the loss of the Chairman, National Population Commission (NPC), Dr. Aminu Yusuf.
Hajiya Maimuna joins the government and people of Niger State in mourning this great leader. In a condolence message issued in Minna, the Niger State capital, she described the demise of the late NPC Chairman as a monumental loss not only to people of Wushishi local government, but to the entire nation.
Hajiya Maimuna noted that Dr. Yusuf was a patriot, and a man of integrity who dedicated his life to the service of Nigeria throughout his career, adding that he stood for truth, fairness, and the unity of Nigeria.
The AGILE Coordinator stated that the late NPC Chairman played critical roles in national development, particularly in the area of credible data generation for planning and governance.
While commiserating with Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, Hajiya Maimuna acknowledged the close relationship between the late elder statesman and the people of Wushishi, described him as a proud son of the soil who never forgot his roots.
The AGILE boss prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for Allah to grant him Aljannatul Firdaus. She also prayed Allah to give the bereaved family, the government, and the people of Niger State the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
The late NPC Chairman, Dr. Aminu Yusuf, hailed from Wushishi Local Government Area of Niger State. He died after a brief illness and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
